State Representative Discusses West Houston Office Space
August 05, 2014
The new and improved office, retail and residential improvements that are about to take place in West Houston have gained the attention of State Rep. Dwayne Bohac. According to an article from the Cypress Creek Mirror, in addition to Class A Houston office space, the area is also going to see mixed use retail and residential additions in the near future.
The development and corresponding improvements to infrastructure will improve property value and quality of life for those living in West Houston, Bohac said. Within the last two years, four major, international corporations have chosen to relocate to the area, occupying 750,000 square feet of office space there, the article stated. In addition, the Hines Company is planning to develop 109 acres along the east side of Beltway 8 which will house a mixed-use corporate park with 4,000,000 square feet of first class office, retail, and hotel space.
According to Bohac, the development will bring jobs to West Houston, as well as employees looking for a place to live. This will spawn the need for additional retail, entertainment, and restaurant spaces.
