According to a recent report from the Greater Houston Partnership, every major sector with the exception of finance recorded employment gains last year. The Texas Workforce Commission released its revised numbers for nonfarm employment in the years 2011, '12, and '13 last week. Although somewhat slower than 2012 -- which was the second hottest year on record in terms of job growth, with an increase of 115,000 jobs -- Houston's economy in 2013 continued to be healthy, with 76,000 jobs added during the year.
